Federation nearly conquered by the Gorn

An alternate version of Earth: Star Trek where the Gorn Hegemony launched an eighteen-year war against the United Federation of Planets and nearly conquered it, reducing former Federation colonies to Gorn mining worlds worked by human slaves. An older Pavel Chekov leads a resistance that fights to overthrow the Gorn.
