Interstellar Union

An alternate version of Earth: Star Trek where the Interstellar Union, a Vulcan-led alliance that developed separately from the United Federation of Planets, is the dominant interstellar power. The Union faces a crisis when the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance, which dominates the other half of the galaxy, threatens open war.
