A future where apes have evolved into the dominant intelligent species and humans have been reduced to mute, primitive animals. Ape civilization is divided between chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans, each occupying distinct social roles. The Forbidden Zone, a vast irradiated wasteland, conceals the truth about the planet's origins. This world has been visited by Captain Kirk, Green Lanterns from the DCnU, and a refugee ship of Alien Nation's Newcomers, and has crossed over with the Marvel universe.
