Reapers attack space faring races

A world where multiple spacefaring species coexist under the governance of the Citadel Council, connected by a network of mass relay transit points left behind by a vanished civilization. Every fifty thousand years the Reapers, a race of enormous synthetic-organic machines, emerge from dark space to harvest advanced civilizations.
