EARTH: Star Blazers

A world where Earth has been bombarded by radioactive meteorites launched by the alien Gamilon Empire, rendering the planet's surface uninhabitable within one year. The battleship Yamato, rebuilt as the Space Battleship Yamato and crewed by the Star Force, embarks on a 148,000 light year voyage to the planet Iscandar to retrieve a device called the Cosmo-DNA that can restore Earth.
